User toolman1 just posted an update to this event on the Event Calendar.

Changes posted:

Added details (EVENT IS FULL AS OF JULY 1. You can be put on a waiting
list but you have to be there (in person) on July 19 to
see if there are any no-shows.

Call 800-371-7568 to do your buy-in. Buy-in must be
received before registration.

Friday July 18: Early registration 5pm to 9pm in the
Sheraton Showroom and receive a $100 "table chip".

Saturday July 19:
Register 8 am to 9 am in the Sheraton Showroom.
Play starts at 9 am in the tournament area.
Wild Card Drawing at 3 pm.
Sounds like first round is accumulation. Top 45 scores
plus 4 wild cards advance to semifinal round.
Top 7 scores are said to advance to finals, but it is
possible they mean 1 from each table of 7. That would be
the typical old Tunica hybrid format, extended from 36 to
49 semifinalists.).

For your information's, I called Sheraton casino blackjack tournament today and they told me 90 percent for invitations and only 10 percent for open. Only invitations can sign up for the tournaments at this time. The tournament is already filled up. The host told me if you do not have invitation and you want to play in the tournament, you need to show up on Saturday morning (july 19) and wait for anybody cancelled their tournament and to get in. This is tough for people out of town travelling to the casino for the tournament and found out that they can not get in. Anybody in here get to sign up for the tournament??????
