For those of you who have never played one, they generally set the machines to a mode in which every spin wins something or, at the very least, does not lose anything. They then set a timer, usually something like 5 minutes, and start the round. At the end of the allotted time the top scores advance and/or receive prizes.<br />

You can bet on the dealer or the player.  Kind of like banker or player.  You have no hitting decisions, just betting decisions.  The dealer hits based on house rules. We were down to about the last 50 (with the top 27 getting paid), and I was about 30th with 10K chips.  The blinds had escalated to the point where everybody was in push-or-fold mode, and someone called my all-in with a worse hand, which of course then beat me, leaving me with a grand total of <b>5 chips</b>.<br />

(1) time change<br />
(2) price of gas in SoCal<br />
(3) bad economy<br />

I have never played slots before so I was not invited but my friend who plays slot sometimes have been invited. He goes on the ship about 5 times a year and has accumulated about 50 points on his players card. According to my estimation that would translate into a loss of about $2000.<br />
What was his invitation? He gets a free cabin for up to 3 pax for a 3N/4D cruise on the Superstar...<br />

I had this (apparently stupid) idea to head over to Windsor to earn &quot;Diamond In A Day&quot; on their 99.95% PickEm in order to finally get BJT invites.  This news, if it turns out to be true, certainly sinks that idea.<br />
