Congratulations to Monkeysystem for his second place finish ! Billy C. and Cadillac Tim were also at the final table representing the BJT.com brand. Because of the sparse turnout (only 22 entrants) the prize payout was changed to pay only the top three of the six final table spots, and Bill and Tim finished just out of the money. The event was a very long one, all on Saturday. The tournament director lengthened the sessions from the usual 42 hands to 60 hands, so even with the small number of entrants, Monkeysystem had to fight his way through 210 hands (60 prelim - 30 re-buy - 60 semifinal - 60 finals) to claim his prize. With the change in CEO at Kewadin over the summer, I hope that this begins to turn things around in re-establishing great tournaments at the Kewadin properties. There are plans for a tournament the weekend of November 11-13 at St. Ignace. Hopefully with Dee Ann promoting it, there will be a much better turnout.
3rd-$990 2nd-$1732 1st- $2240 First is a bit of a guess but I'm sure it's about right. Second and third are accurate, I'm sure. Billy C
Thanks Billy -- and were the accommodations and other coupons provided as was described earlier in this thread?
Gronbog, about the only good news we can report in answer to your question is that the CEO who took away all the sweeteners left the scene a couple months ago. We don't know much about the new management, but the fact that they are trying to revive their tournaments and bring the traveling tournament players back is a promising sign.
Great job Monkey!!! It was fun to hang out with you guys again! Here's to improved Kewadin tournaments in the future....
