Pearl River Resort Tourney now weekly

Well, that is good news. A weekly tourny an hour from the house with a 3K first place. See you up there.;) Did you notice if that first place was guaranteed or was it "based on xxx number of players"?

I don't know whether they are guaranteeing it or not. I saw this mentioned in Jackpot magazine, in Rudy Schiffer's column. I called the casino to ask, and finally did get info that this would begin being weekly, but they didn't confirm the details.

Rudy's article did mention the $3000 first place though, so I think it is likely to be guaranteed. This event was always an overlay, so I don't see what they would advertise it as $3000 first place unless they planned to continue adding the funds.

Prr

I played the tournament Tuesday the 2nd. There were about 30 entrants and 20 rebuys. The full $5000 was paid out in prize money. Made the final table, finished 4th. I was told it would be held every Tuesday thru June, but they may not have it in July due to other events.

Dang. They told me it wasn't starting until May 9th, or I would have been there, stopping on the way back from another trip. Well, I'll probably be up on Tuesday.

Also weekly Craps tourney

They made the craps tourney weekly too. SInce I made such a poor showing tuesday I returned for the craps and won $3000 for first place. Breakdown is 3000-1000-500-300-200 . $25 entry.

Hope to see everyone again tuesday for the BJ tourney.

Joey

Congratulations Joey. I wish I had had the energy to come play it. I went back up Wednesday night and won the Hold-Em tournament and then stayed up too late celebrating for a work night. If someone from here had won Tuesday, this board would have had a 3 day sweep.
See you Tuesday.
