Initial first base. Most tournaments just roll a die for starting position; it’s quick and simple. (Don’t have 7-player tables until they come out with 7-sided dice :joker: )
Most tournaments actually just start at first base, but several do roll the die for the starting position. Any 7 player table either can draw high card, high hand, or just simply start at seat one.

Tied players. Consolidate the two into one rule. Why the mini-tournament within a tournament with a new BR and “2 extra hand will be played times the number of players involved in the tie” ? Just go with the last sentence: keep playing until the proper number of advancing players is determined. :gun: Sudden Death
From surveys and polls I have taken over the past ten years I have found that most players prefer multiple hands over a "Sudden Death Playoff". That is why we choose to run the playoffs this way, I don't just pick the way I think is best.

SurrenderI think having a special card for surrender is making a mountain out of a molehill and would be more trouble than it’s worth. See my post in the thread,
Surrender Card?
I agree that we shouldn't need a card, but I have seen so many dealer mess up, last week five times in the same round. I am just going to try a "Surrender Card" on the cruise and see how it works.

$2.50 Betting increment. I agree with Arlalik. If the regular bet must be in $5 dollar increments why should double-for-less and insure-for-less be any different? It’s just another bet. The $2.50 chip only comes into play for a blackjack and full insurance on an odd-multiple (of the minimum) bet. If you must play it, wait until you get 2 of them.

If you’re down to one $2.50 chip, you’re busted out anyway.
I love the $2.50 chips, as a matter of fact, I wish we had $1.00 chips in play. The use of smaller chips on the tables makes it more of a challange for counting and keeping track of the other players' chips. By allowing these smaller amounts in play (only for insurance and DD) it adds to the tournament play stratgey.

Dealing rotation. Redundant. Incorporate numbered markers into Rule 4.
I'll check it out and change it if need be.

Misdeals. What about the common mistake where the dealer starts playing his own hand and exposes the hole card and possibly takes a hit before the last player(s) has acted?
I believe I have it listed, don't I? If the dealer exposes a card out of order after every player including the dealer has received their first two (Original) cards, that card is DEAD and must be burned.
Now there is an exception based on the rest of your question. Should the dealer forget position one and take a card before it is brought to the dealers attention it is up to position one whether they were going to hit their hand or not. If not play continues, if they were going to hit the card is burned and position one will get the next card.
